Mantanani Island is located in the South China Sea about 48km from the town of Kota Belud. The boats leave from Kuala Abai Jetty which is 10km from Kota Belud town.
Mantanani Island is divided into Mantanani Kecil(small) and Mantanani Besar(big). The island is well known in China as Mermaid Island.
The island was made famous worldwide by the Dugongs that inhabited the waters around the Island. They are gentle creatures also known as sea cows and feed on the beds of sea grass. They have since moved away but once the sea grass beds have grown again they will come back.
Large pods of dolphins are frequently spotted in the clear sea around Mantanani.
Crystal clear sea, white sandy beaches and an abundance of colourful marine life add to this Island popularity.
We are the only operator located in a coconut graze in the Mantanani Bay with the breathtaking views of the different shades of the sea with a white pristine sand beach.
从古打毛律镇， 曼塔纳尼岛位于南中国海约48公里。乘快艇从Kuala Abai码头（距离哥打毛律镇约十公里车程）出发到曼塔纳尼岛约50分钟即可抵达。
曼塔纳尼岛分为小曼塔纳尼岛和大曼塔纳尼岛。在中国，这个岛屿是众所周知的美人鱼岛。
美人鱼岛之所以著名是因为时常在这海域出没的儒艮，又称为海牛。由于儒艮的体积，色泽，以及像美人鱼般娇捷泳姿，因此当地人民都把它命名为duyung(美人鱼)。海草是它们的粮食。当这海域的海草逐渐减少，它们将会迁移到别的海域生活。虽然它们已迁移，但一旦海草床重新增长，它们会再度回来这里的海域。

Pick up from Hotel and depart to Kota Belud Town. Mantanani Islands are a group of three isolated islands located northwest of Kota Belud, about 1-1½ hours drive from the state capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu.

Arrive at our Jetty located at Kuala Abai and depart to Mantanani Island. These islands are approximately 60 minutes to 1 hour boat ride from Kuala Abai Jetty.
